Officials said that on Monday, Zika virus was confirmed in two women in Andarwane area of Pune. One of the women is 28 years old and the other is 12 weeks pregnant. The health department said that the condition of both the women is normal. The health department is monitoring the Zika virus cases and continuous fogging and spraying is being done to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.
The first case was found in a doctor and his daughter
An official said that the first case of Zika virus infection was reported in Andarwane. A 46-year-old doctor here was reported positive. After that, his 15-year-old daughter was also found infected with this infection. After this, two cases were reported from Mundhwa, in which a 47-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were infected with the Zika virus. Now the virus has been confirmed in two pregnant women living in Andarwane.
