Cyber fraud starts with a Scratch And Win card. A woman living in Thiruvananthapuram receives a card through courier, which she is asked to scratch. Here the woman gets a chance to win several lakh rupees.
Cheated a woman, showed she had won 8 lakhs
When the woman scratches this card, she finds out that she has won 8 lakh rupees. After this she calls on the given number. From here the woman starts falling into the clutches of cyber scammers.
Woman called and shared bank details
After this, the woman is told about the prize money. After this, the woman becomes happy. Then the woman is told that this prize money will soon be transferred to her bank account. After this, the woman feels that she has won 8 lakh rupees without even sitting.

Money demanded in the name of processing fees and tax
After this the caller tells the woman that she will have to pay processing fees and some tax money. After this he asks her to follow a process. After this the woman follows that process. After this she is duped of Rs 23 lakh.

lodged police complaint
After this, when the woman’s father came to know about this scam, he asked her to report it to the cyber cell. After this, the cyber cell has registered the woman’s complaint and is now investigating this case.
