Nitish Kumar on granting special state status to Bihar

Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister, Bihar

Nitish Kumar But Special state status to Bihar, The Modi government at the Centre has made it clear that Bihar will not get the status of a special state. While on one hand the leaders of the opposition parties have claimed that Bihar has been cheated, on the other hand Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave a veiled response on Monday on the Centre’s refusal to grant the state the status of a special state.

Nitish said- you will know everything gradually

When Nitish Kumar, a top leader of JD(U), a key ally of the ruling NDA at the Centre, was asked about his statement in Parliament a day earlier regarding the Centre’s decision to grant Bihar special status, he said on Tuesday, “You will get to know everything gradually.” Saying only this in response to questions asked by media persons in this regard at the Bihar Assembly premises, Nitish entered the House building, smiling and waving to the crowd of media persons.

‘Bihar can still achieve a lot’

It is notable that after the Lok Sabha elections, in which the BJP fell short of a majority and became heavily dependent on allies, the JD(U) held a national executive meeting in which a resolution was passed with a fresh demand for special status. The leaders of the JD(U), who have two ministers in the central government, stressed that the resolution also talks of a “special package and other kinds of assistance” and that Bihar can still get a lot from the Narendra Modi government.

However, opposition leaders in the state feel that Bihar has been betrayed. Nitish’s arch rival and RJD president Lalu Prasad believes that the JD(U) supremo should resign after the Centre’s refusal to grant special status to Bihar.
