The Israeli army (IDF) is carrying out air strikes on the bases of Iran-backed organization Hezbollah in Lebanon and has targeted more than 100 bases. This step has been taken by Israel in response to Lebanon’s air strikes. Meanwhile, amid the attacks on Hezbollah bases, Israeli PM Netanyahu is going to call a meeting of the security cabinet.
According to Israeli media, the IDF Chief of Staff is personally and directly monitoring the attacks. Air force patrols, guided by intelligence, are selectively identifying Hezbollah targets. For the past hour, dozens of fighter jets have been carrying out rapid attacks in southern Lebanon.
Operations at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv have been temporarily suspended and rocket sirens sounded across northern Israel. Israel’s national emergency and ambulance service, MDA, said it had raised the alert level across the country to “critical”.
On Sunday morning, while giving information about the attacks carried out in Lebanon, the Israeli army said that it had come to know that Hezbollah was preparing for a major attack on Israel, after which it was attacking Hezbollah’s bases in Lebanon in self-defense.

Warning given to people
Warning residents of southern Lebanon in Arabic, the Israeli military said, “We are monitoring Hezbollah’s preparations to launch a massive attack on Israeli territory near your homes. You are in danger. We are attacking and eliminating Hezbollah’s threats.”
Israel has sent a message to the people living in southern Lebanon that they should come out of their homes for their safety because we are attacking to protect ourselves and Hezbollah has put the lives of Lebanese citizens at risk.
Hezbollah bases targeted
The Israeli army has claimed that its fighter jets targeted 10 Hezbollah areas in southern Lebanon, including weapons depots, hideouts and a rocket launch pad. Hezbollah has suffered heavy losses in this attack by fighter jets. Earlier on Saturday, Hezbollah had launched a series of missile attacks towards Israel.
Many houses located inside the Israeli border were destroyed in Hezbollah’s attack. IDF has shared the video after this attack on its X account, in which many houses can be seen burning. Hezbollah has carried out this attack in response to the Israeli attack on Friday.

Israeli attacks on Gaza continue
On the other hand, the war between Hamas and Israel has been going on in Gaza for the last 11 months. The Israeli army is continuously carrying out fierce attacks, in which a large number of people are being killed every day. The Health Ministry in Gaza has claimed that the death toll in the war has crossed 40 thousand. About 40,265 thousand people have been killed so far. In the latest attack on Friday, 16 people have been killed, among whom the number of children and women is high.
