Muzaffarnagar Kanwar Yatra , The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has issued an official order for the Kanwariyas on the Kanwar Yatra route in Muzaffarnagar. Under this official order, all the hotels, shops and vendors on the Kanwar route will have to identify themselves by writing their names in front of their shops. The shopkeepers on this route have also started following this official order. The SSP of Muzaffarnagar has said that this arrangement has been made so that there is no dispute over food items during the Kanwar Yatra.

Akhilesh Yadav raised questions

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav targeted the Yogi government on this government order. In his post on X, Akhilesh Yadav questioned the administration that what will be known from the name of the person whose name is Guddu, Munna, Chhotu or Fateh? AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has already expressed his objection to this decision of the district police. He has said that by doing this, Muslims are being kept away from the Kanwar Yatra.

‘Courts take suo motu cognizance’

He further wrote, the Hon’ble Court should take suo motu cognizance and investigate the intention of the government behind such administration and take appropriate punitive action. Such orders are social crimes, which want to spoil the peaceful atmosphere of harmony. This reaction of the MP has come on the news in which it has been claimed that Muzaffarnagar Police has issued a decree during the Kanwar Yatra. In which an appeal has been made that all shopkeepers should share their identity outside their shops and write their name outside the shop.

The Kanwar route is 240 kilometers long

There is a 240 kilometer long Kanwar route in Muzaffarnagar. After this order, shopkeepers selling food and other items on the route will have to give information about how many people work in their shops and hotels, who works in the kitchen staff. All this information will have to be given in writing in front of the hotel and shop.

Shopkeepers are voluntarily following the instructions- SSP

Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh says that the route of Kanwar Yatra in Muzaffarnagar is 240 kilometers. People buy food items from all the food carts and hotels on this route. These shopkeepers have been told to display the names of their proprietors and the people working there outside so that there is no confusion among the Kanwariyas. Our effort is to ensure that there is no situation of allegations and counter-allegations and law and order breakdown during the Kanwar Yatra. All the shopkeepers on the route are voluntarily following this instruction.
