Many Xbox users in the United States are currently experiencing issues with Xbox Live, leading to connectivity problems and disruptions in popular games like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Halo Infinite, GTA 5, and Dead By Daylight.

According to reports, the Xbox Live core servers were down on Thursday evening, causing widespread outages and preventing players from accessing online features and matchmaking. Downdetector, a website that tracks service disruptions, received over 4,500 error reports from users across the country.

Frustrated players took to social media to voice their concerns, with some reporting issues with logging in, joining parties, and even downloading games. One user said, “Bro try to login to my Xbox account but it gives me error,” while another complained, “Cant play sea of thieves the coarse beard thing shows up, are xbox servers are down?”

The issues appear to have primarily impacted multiplayer-focused games like Rainbow Six Siege, which relies on a stable connection to Xbox Live for its online functionality. The game’s developer, Ubisoft, acknowledged the outage on their official status page, stating that they were “aware of the issues and are investigating.”

As of now, Xbox has not provided any official updates or statements regarding the server problems. The company’s status page also remains down, further frustrating users who are seeking information on the ongoing situation.

This is not the first time Xbox Live has experienced widespread outages, and it serves as a reminder of the importance of reliable online infrastructure for modern gaming experiences. Players will likely have to wait for Xbox to resolve the issues before they can fully enjoy their favorite titles without interruption.
