WTC Latest Points Table: Pakistan’s condition is poor, reaching the final is very difficult! Know the condition of all the teams

The Pakistan cricket team had to face a 0-2 defeat in the two-match home Test series against Bangladesh. Pakistan has only 16 points from two wins and five losses in 7 matches. If seen, Pakistan has seven more matches left in the current cycle of WTC. It has to play three Test matches against England at home and two against West Indies. While it has to participate in two matches against South Africa on its soil.

Before that tour, it has to play 2 home Tests against Bangladesh and 3 home Tests against New Zealand. If India wins 5 of these 10 Test matches, then India’s entry into the finals will be almost certain.

Australia is in second place in the WTC table. The Kangaroo team has 90 points from 8 wins, 3 losses and 1 draw in 12 matches. Its point percentage is 62.50. New Zealand team is in third place in the WTC table. New Zealand has 36 points from 3 wins and 3 losses in 6 matches. The Kiwi team’s point percentage is 50.00. After this, Bangladesh is in fourth place, England in fifth and South Africa in sixth place. While Sri Lanka is in seventh, Pakistan in eighth and West Indies in ninth place. This means that Pakistan is ahead of only West Indies in the WTC table.

It is worth noting that this is the third cycle of the World Test Championship, which will run from 2023 to 2025. The ICC has already released the rules related to the points system for this third cycle. The team will get 12 points for winning the Test match, 4 points for drawing the match and 6 points for a tie.

At the same time, 100 percent points will be added for winning the match, 50 percent for a tie, 33.33 percent for a draw and zero percent for losing. A total of 24 points will be available in a two-match series and 60 points in a five-match series. Since the ranking in the points table is primarily determined on the basis of winning percentage.
