Wolves have a tendency to take revenge, experts spoke on the terror spread in Bahraich

Wolves have created terror in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. So far 10 people have lost their lives in attacks by man-eating wolves. There are many discussions going on about why wolves are attacking human settlements. Meanwhile, a senior forest department official told India Today that wolves can attack humans to take revenge. They attack humans when their homes or children are harmed.

Wolves have a tendency to take revenge

Sanjay Pathak, general manager of Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation, said that wolves have a tendency to take revenge. If their home or children are harmed, they can attack humans. Experts are surprised to see this development, because wolves are generally calm in nature. Pathak said that wolves are especially targeting children.

At the same time, residents of Ramuapur village claimed that they had seen a wolf’s den in a sugarcane field, which also had wolf cubs. But due to heavy rains, this den was also submerged. Villagers say that it is possible that the wolf cubs may have also died due to the flood and now these wolves are taking revenge. Wildlife experts also believe the same. At the same time, some experts say that there is a shortage of space for wolves to live, due to which they are attacking human settlements.

Such attacks have happened before

This is not the first case of wolf terror in Uttar Pradesh. In 1996, wolves attacked more than 10 children in Pratapgarh. When an investigation was conducted, it was found that the children had destroyed a den of wolves. Due to which the wolves had become man-eaters.

4 wolves were caught

According to the information, 4 out of 6 man-eating wolves have been caught. But there is still an atmosphere of fear in many villages of Bahraich.
The government has formed a 10-member team to catch the remaining two wolves. Orders have also been given to kill the wolves.
