Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has announced that she will not form an alliance with Congress and Samajwadi Party in any election. Mayawati accused Congress and SP of neglecting Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and said that Congress never honoured him with Bharat Ratna either during his lifetime or posthumously.
She said that during their tenure, SP and Congress did not declare state or national mourning on the death of Kanshi Ram. Be cautious of their double standards of thinking, conduct and character.’ BSP supremo raised the question that why Congress did not conduct caste census even after being in power for so many years.
Mayawati wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday morning, ‘Will it be in the interest of SC, ST and OBC classes to form an alliance with these anti-reservation parties like SP and Congress etc. in any election? This will not happen at all, in such a situation they have to stand on their own.’
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Prayagraj on Saturday and participated in the program ‘Respect and Protection of the Constitution. Addressing the people present in the program, Rahul Gandhi said, ’90 percent of the people are sitting outside the system and the country cannot run without their participation and for this, the barrier of 50 percent reservation will be broken.
Mayawati targeted the Congress party on this statement of Rahul Gandhi. She said, ‘Why did the Congress not conduct the National Caste Census in its government before the BJP came to power at the center, that they are talking about it now, answer? Whereas the BSP has always been in favor of it, because its conduct is very important in the interest of the weaker sections.’
Mayawati said, ‘The followers of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar will never forgive the Congress party, which held the Constitution Samman ceremony in Prayagraj yesterday, for not honouring Baba Saheb, the chief architect of the Constitution, with the title of Bharat Ratna during his lifetime or even after his death.
