Will India give asylum to Sheikh Hasina? Expert said- if this happens…

Amid violence in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and left the country. Sources say that Sheikh Hasina may come to India. Her visit to India is being seen from two perspectives. However, experts believe that her visit to Delhi may create problems for India.

Major General (Retd) Sanjay Meston told Aaj Tak that her visit to India can be seen from two aspects, but I am an army man. Leadership plays a very important role in our army. She is also the leader of a country, whether she has taken wrong decisions or whatever. Now she is being opposed. Whatever policy the leader of the country has implemented in the country, the leaders have to bear the consequences and it is clear from these protests that people were upset with Sheikh Hasina. Especially after the elections held in January, it was clear that instability was going to come.

‘His coming to India will become a big issue!’

On the question of Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Delhi, he said that look, if she comes to Delhi, it will become an international debate. Some people will say that India has done the right thing, some will say that it has done the wrong thing. Because this is an internal matter of Bangladesh. Her coming to India will be a big issue, because the opposition party there will turn against our country.

He also said that we are a big power in this entire region. We have led the G20. His coming to India will become a big issue. Though on the basis of morality we are doing the right thing because saving someone’s life is a big thing but his coming to India will turn the Jamaat and other parties against us.

He also said that after landing Sheikh Hasina’s plane, India should send her to a neutral country later. But if she stays in India, it will become an international issue.

‘There were anti-India sentiments in Bangladesh earlier too’

Major General (Retired) AK Siwach said that whatever has happened in Bangladesh, it was known that something like this was going to happen, because the students were on the streets for a long time and were not ready to return. If Sheikh Hasina comes to India, then India will have to take care that there is no resentment against India during Sheikh Hasina’s stay in India, because there were many sentiments against India in Bangladesh earlier also, they should not be encouraged.

The biggest problem is that the population of minorities living there is only 8 percent. They should not become the target of the violent mob, because Jamaat and many parties of Bangladesh are behind this violence. Which are against India. ISI has also played a role in this. This protest of students was more from outside than from inside. Outside agencies are involved in this protest.
