Bangladesh’s military is ranked 37th in the world. This small country has an area of more than 1.48 lakh square kilometers. It has a 580-kilometer long sea border. The length of its international border is about 4413 kilometers. The total population is about 16.72 crores. Out of this, 31.76 lakh people are eligible to join the army.

If we combine all the armies of Bangladesh, it has a total of 69.63 lakh soldiers. Out of which 1.63 lakh are active. That is, in deployment mode. Bangladesh does not have a reserve force. But it does have a paramilitary force of 68 lakh. It includes 17,400 soldiers in the Air Force, 1.60 lakh in the Army and 25,100 in the Navy.
The Air Force has 44 fighter jets, 26 are always ready for attack
Now if we talk about the Air Force, Bangladesh Air Force has a total of 216 aircrafts. That is, planes. Out of which 130 are in ready mode. Out of these, 44 are fighter jets. Out of which 26 are ready. There are 16 transport aircrafts. Out of these, 10 keep flying. Apart from this, there are 87 trainers. Out of which 52 are active. There are four special mission aircrafts, out of which two are always ready. Bangladesh has a total of 73 helicopters. Out of which 44 are active.
There is also a stock of 320 tanks, 437 artillery and 71 rocket launchers
Talking about the strength of the army, the Bangladesh Army has 320 tanks. Out of which 224 are ready in active mode. Apart from this, there are 13,100 different types of vehicles. Out of which 9170 are always on the move. Apart from this, the army has 27 self-propelled artillery i.e. automatic cannons. Out of which 19 are always ready. There are 437 towed artillery i.e. cannons that can be towed. Out of these, 306 are always deployed. There are 71 multi-launch rocket systems.
The navy is not very strong, but small warships are useful
Bangladesh Navy has a total of 117 assets. That is, ships, vessels or ships. There are no aircraft carriers, helicopter carriers, destroyers. There are seven frigates, 6 corvettes and 2 submarines. Apart from this, there are 55 patrol vessels. There are five mine warfare vessels. That is, ships that lay landmines in the sea.
