The administration should deploy divers there. So that, if such an incident happens with anyone, he can be saved.
The incident took place at Nana Mau Ghat
On Saturday, Aditya Aditya Vardhan Singh, Deputy Director of Health Department of UP, who hails from Unnao, went to take a bath in Ganga with his friend Pradeep Tiwari at Nana Mau Ghat in Kanpur. His wife Shailaja Mishra is a judge in Maharashtra, while his cousin Anupam Singh is a senior IAS in Bihar and is the secretary of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. His friends say that he asked to take a photo while bathing and during this time suddenly his foot went into a pit in the Ganga and he started drowning.

Divers did not jump into the river without transferring money
Seeing him drowning, his friends immediately asked the divers standing on the ghat to save him, but the divers said give us Rs 10,000 first. On this, the deputy director’s friends said that we do not have Rs 10,000 in cash. We will transfer it online. But the divers first transferred Rs 10,000 online to the account of shopkeeper Shailesh Kashyap nearby, and then proceeded to save him. However, by then the deputy director had drowned.
The police administration and SDRF team came to the spot to find him and divers were also called. But his dead body was not found till night. During this time the head of the area also came there. On the other hand, Shailesh Gautam, who took the money, says that the divers were asking for money. The diver did not have an account so he transferred the money to my account. I have returned the money.
In this case, the ADCP of the area, Brijendra Dwivedi, says that the police has come to the spot after getting information about his drowning. We kept searching for him till late night but could not find him. A search operation is being conducted again since morning. Now in the area, there is a discussion that when divers kept asking for Rs 10,000 to save such a big officer on the banks of the Ganga and he died. In such a situation, people have also raised questions on the police administration. People say that why is the administration not keeping divers there.

Aditya’s sister is abroad and his parents are also with his sister. Aditya’s brother, Bihar government secretary Anupam Singh has arrived at the spot. His wife will arrive on Monday. Aditya lived in Indira Nagar, Lucknow.
