‘Why is justice being delayed regarding Hema Committee report?’ JP Nadda lashed out at Kerala’s Vijayan government

BJP President JP Nadda today met well-known personalities from various fields in Palakkad, Kerala. During this, while addressing various people, he also targeted the Kerala government fiercely. He said that Kerala is the land of social leaders and is known for social reforms. The people of Kerala are very hardworking and I salute them for their dedication.

JP Nadda said, ‘Since 2014, there has not only been a change in the government or the party but it has also been a change in the culture of politics. He said that the political culture has completely changed since PM Modi came to power. Reforms and development have now become the basis of politics.’

Targeted the left government

During this, the BJP President fiercely targeted the Left government of Kerala regarding the Hema Committee report and questioned CM Vijayan. JP Nadda said, “Why is justice being delayed regarding the Hema Committee report? What is stopping them (Kerala government)? What is bothering you? Because you are an integral part of it… This is something you want to hide because your people are involved in it…’

He said, ‘I am very sad to say that the Hema Committee report clearly states that people from the Communist Party are involved in this. The Chief Minister should come forward…’

What is the report of Hema Committee
Let us tell you that the Hema Committee report was released on August 19, 2024, five years after it was submitted to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The shocking report has revealed dark deeds about exploitation, sexual harassment, abuse of power and lobbying. Since the release of the report, some women have come forward to accuse actors and directors of sexual misconduct.

In February 2017, a popular Malayalam actress (who is known for her acting in Tamil and Kannada films) was allegedly attacked in a moving car. Five men kidnapped her, made a video of the attack and left her there. The actress mustered up courage and filed a complaint with the police.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Malayalam actor Dileep, a powerful and influential man from Kerala, had allegedly conspired with some people to ‘teach a lesson’ to the actress. The case of the attack on the actor is still going on in the court. Several witnesses turned hostile in the last few years. Many years later, director Balachandra Kumar made shocking claims that actor Dileep had already seen the scenes of the attack in the magistrate’s court. His allegations proved to be a turning point in the case.
