Why is it raining so much only in Gujarat? A new threat of natural calamity is also rising from the Bay of Bengal

There is continuous heavy rainfall in Gujarat. This has never been seen before. In fact, such a big change in the rain pattern has not been seen. This change in the rain pattern has come due to climate change and increasing temperature. Where earlier UP and Bihar used to get submerged in monsoon, now floods are occurring in dry states.

The desert districts of Rajasthan are getting submerged. And the coastal areas of Gujarat are getting submerged. So much rain that even meteorologists are not able to predict it. It is believed that there has been a sharp change in the pattern of rain. Due to the heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, many low-pressure areas in the Bay of Bengal are moving towards the west.

Earlier the route was Bihar-UP-Haryana… now it has changed

Usually the low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal moves towards the north-west direction. But its route is Bihar, UP, Haryana and Punjab. It moves forward causing heavy rains on the way. But this time the rain-bearing low pressure area has changed its route. It is moving towards the west via Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Meteorologists believe climate change is the reason behind this. According to Mahesh Palawat, vice president of Skymet, a private weather forecasting agency, climate change is the biggest reason. Due to this, the pattern of rainfall over the states has changed. This year, four low-pressure areas and two depressions formed over the Bay of Bengal. All of these took the northwest route and then the western route.

For four-five years, rain has been turning towards the western route

Rain has not taken this route only this year. It has been trying to go to the western route for the last four-five years. The increasing temperature is changing the pattern of rain. Due to which more than normal rain is happening in dry regions like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Scientist Soma Sen Roy of Bharti Meteorological Center admitted that many low-pressure areas have formed towards West Bengal. Their number is increasing. Due to which there is irregular rain. More low-pressure systems are seen in the month of August. Due to which many states receive more rain than normal. This is a normal process. There is no change in the weather pattern. The movement of monsoon rain towards the west is a normal process. It is often seen.
