Why are firecrackers being burst to catch wolves? This is how ‘man-eaters’ are caught

Many wolves have created terror in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. So far these dreaded wolves have killed 9 people. It was being told that there were about 6 wolves who created terror, out of which four have been caught. Now an operation is being conducted to catch two wolves and efforts are being made to catch them in different ways. In this operation to catch the wolves, the forest department team is also bursting crackers and adopting different methods to catch them. In such a situation, the question is why crackers are being burst to catch the wolves and how are the wolves being caught.

How are you getting caught?

The search operation for the wolf is going on in the Kachhar area of Bahraich. To catch the wolves, four cages and eight thermosensor cameras have been installed in the area of Haribax Purwa village. At the same time, monitoring has been started with thermal drones and the entire area is being monitored. For this, 18 teams are patrolling day and night. At present, more than 50 workers are working on setting up cages and traps. A team of doctors is also present, who are trying to catch the wolf through tranquilizer.

Now the movement of the wolf is being tracked through combing of the entire area. In Aurahi village of Bahraich, people are also keeping an eye on the wolf by keeping a vigil at night. The police team is making arrangements for the operation through firecrackers. The forest department is driving its vehicles in the village throughout the night and many instructions are being given through speakers to the people to stay inside the houses, not to let children go out of the houses, to sleep with the doors closed.

In what ways are cannibals caught?

Let us tell you that when a tiger becomes more dangerous or becomes a man-eater, the forest department team first tries to catch it alive. But, if it is not caught and it is felt that it can prove to be dangerous for people, then orders are given to shoot it. First, an attempt is made to catch it through cages, nets etc. When all efforts fail, orders are given to kill it.

To catch a man-eater, the animal is first tracked and now drones etc. are used for this. After this, cages are set up and traps are laid as per a plan. Along with this, it is made unconscious through a tranquilizer. For this, people in the forest department and operation wait in hiding at different places or the animal is moved for a plan. There is already a provision of tranquilizers etc. and it is caught.

Along with this, before going for the operation, the chemicals etc. are arranged according to the animal, as to how much dose of which chemical is to be given to which type of animal. Along with this, syringes, darting pipes, rifles, cages, nets etc. are arranged accordingly. Then the operation is done. In many situations, snares are used instead of cages, in which the animal can stay for a long time and in this, the gate of the cage is also opened in a different way.

Why are firecrackers being burst?

A trick is done to catch animals through firecrackers. Firecrackers are burst continuously in residential areas so that animals stay away from residential areas. Actually, animals are afraid of fire and sound of firecrackers, due to which they run away from all these situations. In such a situation, all these methods are used to keep animals away from residential areas or to make the hidden animals move.
