Who is Sayan Lahiri?

The police have also expressed doubts about Sayan’s political identity. The police claimed that Sayan had gone to a five star hotel for a secret meeting with a political leader.

Why is Mamata afraid of the students’ movement?

At present, Mamata Banerjee is in power in West Bengal. There was a time when Mamata Banerjee took to the streets and protested against the government and took her political journey forward. In 1993, Mamata Banerjee was physically beaten up by the police and thrown out of the state secretariat Writers Building for protesting in front of the office of the then Chief Minister Jyoti Basu. Mamata Banerjee organized and led many protests and marches in the state against the policies and alleged atrocities of the Left Front government.

But today when the students of the state are protesting, CM Mamata is trying every possible way to stop this protest. She is building an iron wall to stop the students. Bengal Police is spraying water and firing tear gas shells on the students. In such a situation, the question arises that why Mamata Banerjee, who fueled her political journey through protests, is scared of the students’ protest today.
