According to the Israeli army IDF, Ismail al Gul was a terrorist of Hamas’s military unit Nukhba Force and this force carried out the October 7 attack.
What does Israel have to say about Ismail?
Ismail Gul was killed in an attack by a fighter jet in a joint operation of the Israeli army IDF and Shin Bet. The IDF says that Gul played a very big role in Nukba.

‘Al-Nukhba’ is actually an Arabic word, which means ‘elite’. Nukhba Force is a fighting unit of Hamas’ military wing Izz al-Din al-Qassam. The Nukhba Force of Hamas fighters consists of trained and experienced fighters, who have state-of-the-art weapons.
According to a statement issued by the Israeli army, the Nukhba Force consists of Hamas fighters who are expert in ambushing and also infiltrate by making tunnels.
