This is the reason for resigning
IPS Kamya has decided to quit her job in just 5 years, although she has cited personal and family reasons for this. Kamya Mishra has also said that this decision is not so easy, but she was not able to give time to her family, due to which she had to take this decision. Actually, Kamya is the only child of her parents. Her father is a big businessman of Odisha. In such a situation, Kamya has decided to leave the bureaucracy to take over her father’s business.
Cleared UPSC at the age of 22
Kamya Mishra, a resident of Odisha, had cleared the UPSC exam in her very first attempt. In 2019, she secured 172nd rank in the UPSC exam and surprised everyone by becoming an IPS at the age of 22. Her initial posting was in Himachal cadre, but later she got herself transferred to Bihar cadre. Kamya was a topper in studies since childhood. Not only UPSC, she also got a commendable 98 percent marks in the 12th board exam.

Kamya Mishra is also married to an IPS officer. Her husband Awadhesh Saroj is a 2019 batch police officer and IPS officer of Bihar cadre. Kamya has been married for four years. Kamya has resigned after completing 20 years in this service. Kamya Mishra was posted at the Secretariat police station in Patna. After this, Kamya Mishra of 2019 batch was appointed as Rural SP in Darbhanga in March 2024. IPS Kamya Mishra is known as Lady Singham. She was continuously running a campaign against criminals after coming to Bihar from Odisha. Kamya Mishra has played an important role in the Gay Ghat case and Jeetan Sahni murder case of Patna. She solved the Jeetan Sahni murder case in a very short time.
