When she refused to go to Bangalore, he killed his girlfriend, sensational revelation in Uran murder case

Police has made a sensational disclosure in the murder case of a 20-year-old girl in Uran, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The accused is a former acquaintance of the deceased girl. He killed her because she did not want to go to Bangalore with him. She wanted to delete her private photos from the accused’s mobile. Police arrested 23-year-old accused Dawood Sheikh from Gulbarga, Karnataka on Tuesday morning.

Earlier in the day, a court in Raigad district sent accused Dawood Sheikh to seven days of police custody. Police have filed additional charges against the accused under the SC/ST Atrocities Act. A police officer involved in the investigation said that the accused had gone to Uran from Karnataka on July 23. The next day he met the victim at Juinagar railway station in Navi Mumbai.

According to the police, on July 25, the victim and the accused had a fight over the pictures. A few days ago, the girl shared the pictures on her social media platform, which the accused deleted. He did not want their relationship to become public. After this, the victim asked him to delete all her personal pictures, which were present in his mobile. But the accused refused to do so.

Accused Dawood Sheikh asked the girl to come to him in Bangalore, but she refused. Angered by this, he came from Bangalore to Navi Mumbai. He already had a knife with him. He killed the victim with the same knife and fled from there. The victim’s body was found on the morning of July 27, after her parents filed a missing person report on July 25. After this, the police started investigating the case.

After the murder, Dawood Sheikh contacted his friend in Bengaluru and asked him to transfer the money to his account. He withdrew money from an ATM kiosk in Panvel and fled to Karnataka. In 2019, the victim’s father filed a complaint against him for harassing his daughter. At that time, a case was registered against him under the relevant sections of the POCSO Act and he was arrested.

After some time he was released on bail. After this he got injured in an accident. He remained bedridden for some time. During this time he re-established contact with the victim. After recovering he went to Karnataka. There he got a job as a driver. During this time also he remained in constant touch with the victim. A police officer said that there is no religious aspect in this matter. The police is preparing a strong case.
