Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has compared YSRCP chief and former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy to Pablo Escobar. Pablo Escobar was a drug mafia of Colombia.
Chandrababu Naidu released a white paper on law and order and marijuana, claiming he had never seen a situation like the one that prevailed when Reddy was chief minister.
Speaking on the threat of drugs in the assembly, Naidu said that what happened in Andhra can be compared to only one person and that is Pablo Escobar. CM Naidu said that Pablo Escobar was a drug mafia who sold drugs worth billions of dollars illegally and the leaders and people who opposed him were murdered.

Calling Escobar a ‘narco-terrorist’, Naidu alleged that similar conditions prevailed in Andhra Pradesh during the YSRCP government, when ganja was sold openly. He alleged that between 2019 and 2024, Andhra emerged as the ‘ganja capital’. Naidu also vowed to crack down on drugs during this period.
Who was Pablo Escobar?
Pablo Escobar is considered the world’s biggest drug mafia. He wanted to become the President of Colombia. He entered the world of drugs in the 1970s and soon became a big drug mafia. He was also called the ‘Cocaine King’.
Escobar was the richest drug mafia in the world at that time. He had more than 30 billion dollars at that time. It is believed that he had so much cash that even rats would eat it. It is said that he had built a prison for himself, where police entry was prohibited.
He was arrested in 1976, but was released. Later he also entered politics. In 1993, when Pablo Escobar was 44 years old, the police killed him in an encounter.
