When Bhuvan Bam broke down after seeing his father’s alcohol addiction, he said, ‘People who want to meet him are standing outside, but there is a conflict going on inside’

Actor-YouTuber Bhuvan Bam is one of the most favourite content creators of the public. Now Bhuvan has talked about his late father. Popular for his YouTube channel ‘BB Ki Vines’, Bhuvan has now revealed that his father had a bad habit of drinking alcohol and due to this there used to be ‘conflicts’ in his house too.

Bhuvan said that he had also tried to know the reason behind his father’s problem. But his father said that he should be left alone. Bhuvan said that due to this problem the situation became strange when he started becoming popular.

Bhuvan told his story
While talking in the ‘Be a Man Yaar’ podcast, Bhuvan said, ‘I asked him – who drinks in the middle of the day? What is the problem? You tell us. We have cut a cake to celebrate my 10 million followers (on BB Ki Vines), we are going to travel, so why did you start drinking at 12 in the day?’ He said – this has become my addiction and I want you guys not to interfere in it. Let me be like this. I am very happy for all of you, just don’t come in between. Simple. I used to wonder what to say to him after this? I cannot forcibly snatch the drink from him because he is my father.’

Bhuvan while talking about his father’s addiction said that today he finds it funny but when he looks back, he finds it very scary. This was during the time when his channel ‘BB Ki Vines’ started becoming popular and people started coming to his house.

Bhuvan’s fans are outside, there is conflict going on inside the house
Bhuvan said, ‘There was always a line outside my house and after ‘Biwi Ki Vines’ started airing, I stopped going to the balcony. Because there were always 60-70 people outside, whether it was 2 or 3 in the night. Amidst all of that, there was a lot of trouble going on inside the house – we were begging them not to shout. I mean, there was a lot of chaos inside the house. My room was on the top floor, where I make videos. The way to that room was from outside. If I passed from there and someone called out to me, I would have to be polite. My conscience would not allow me to ignore them and go upstairs. So I would go around, get my photos clicked with everyone. And when everyone left, I would come inside, talk to dad and try to understand his problem. But the voices were loud. This cycle never stopped. Then I decided that I cannot live like this, I will have to change my house.’

But the day Bhuvan paid the stamp duty for his house, his father suffered a brain stroke. He could no longer recognise Bhuvan and his brother. ‘For 6-7 months, he thought I was someone else. So we would talk to him and help him remember that he had two children. He remembered both names and their work. But he could not tell that it was his son who was asking all these questions. And then one day, the day I won the Filmfare for ‘Plus-Minus’, I came home. He recognised me and then he did not drink alcohol for the next two years.’

Let us tell you, in 2021, Bhuvan lost both his parents due to complications related to Covid 19. At that time, he had told that his whole world has fallen apart and he is learning to live again without them.
