When a Muslim youth chanted ‘Victory to Lord Shankar…’, people from his own community attacked him

On Sunday, people of his community pelted stones at a Muslim youth from Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh and threatened him to migrate. The people of the community did this because during the Kanwar Yatra, the Muslim youth had raised slogans in praise of Bhole Baba with the DM SP of Bulandshahr regarding Hindu-Muslim unity. In this regard, the victim has filed a case in the Simbhaoli police station of Hapur district.

There are threats of leaving the village and burning the family alive

Police said that Muslim youth Qari Abdullah has given a complaint in Simbhaoli police station. A case has been registered regarding this. According to the complaint, the victim says that on 30 July 2024, a program was organized for refreshments etc. at Syana Canal Chowki to welcome Kanwad pilgrims. In which respected persons from nearby areas and SP, District Magistrate etc. were present.

In the presence of the officials, the youth had raised slogans of Shankar Bhagwan Ki Jai, Bam Bam Bhole in honour of the Kanwadis. However, during this time some anti-social elements made a video of him and showed it to the entire community. Since then, some people from the community have been threatening to kill him and burn his family alive. He is also being forced to leave the village.

Police arrested one

The youth’s family is not stepping out of the house due to fear of anti-social elements. However, a case has been registered against 15-20 unidentified persons including Margub alias Afridi, Alishan, Ajju, Wasim, Shakir of village Vat.

In this case, Superintendent of Police Vineet Bhatnagar says that a case has been registered on the complaint. One person has also been arrested in this case. Strict action will be taken after investigation.
