What has Abhishek Banerjee said by targeting the speaker, is INDIA Block united?

Abhishek Banerjee has reached the Lok Sabha for the third time from Diamond Harbor in West Bengal. He never forgets to mention in Parliament that he has won the election by more than 7 lakh votes. He also takes the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is talking about the margin of victory of Prime Minister Modi in Varanasi seat.

In the speeches of Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, the target is always Prime Minister Modi, but he also targets Speaker Om Birla on every point – like Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, he also tries to prove by giving examples that the Speaker does not treat the MPs of the ruling party and the opposition equally.

The debate between Abhishek Banerjee and Speaker Om Birla in Lok Sabha is currently the talk of the town, and the way the TMC MP referred to the farmers is a reference to the silence maintained in Parliament on the Emergency – indicating that the TMC is with the Congress on some issues.

Speaker Om Birla behaved with Abhishek Banerjee almost in the same way as he did with Congress MPs Deepender Hooda and Shashi Tharoor. When there was a little debate on saying Jai Hind and Jai Samvidhaan after the oath – and Abhishek Banerjee was also seen getting into a fight with the Speaker just like Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav in the last session.

During the discussion on the general budget, Abhishek Banerjee referred to the 2016 demonetisation as a failure and Speaker Om Birla interrupted him. Om Birla told Abhishek Banerjee, after 2016, the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have also taken place… you should speak on the current budget.

Abhishek Banerjee was probably waiting for a similar opportunity. Then he started telling the speaker, if someone talks about Jawaharlal Nehru 60 years ago, you will not say anything… If I talk about demonetization that happened 5 years ago, you will say talk about the present… this will not work… Biplab Dev will talk about the Emergency of 50 years ago, but if I talk, it will hurt you.

Last time, after the election of the Speaker in the special session, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to take the Speaker to his chair. Rahul Gandhi reminded of that incident and said, Speaker Sir, there are two persons sitting in your chair… one is the Lok Sabha Speaker, who is the Speaker of the Indian Union, the other is Om Birla… When Modi ji went and shook hands with you and when I shook hands, I noticed one thing… when I shook hands with you, you stood straight… when Modi ji shook hands, you bent down.

And while wishing the speaker, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav had also said, you are sitting as the Chief Justice of democratic justice… we hope that the voice of any public representative is not suppressed… and neither should things like expulsion hurt us… you have control over the opposition, but you should also have control over the ruling party… the House should run as per your instructions, the opposite should not happen.

Abhishek Banerjee also raised the issue of farmers, people are clapping in the House… 700 farmers were killed, they were murdered – and yet, one man stood up for a minute and paid tribute to them?

It is clear that Abhishek Banerjee was trying to remind about the incident of condemnation of Emergency and two minutes of silence by the Speaker in Lok Sabha. Let us also tell you that the Central Government has now declared 25th June as Constitution Hatya Diwas.

As soon as the death of farmers was mentioned, some MPs from the ruling party protested, then Abhishek Banerjee pointed towards them and said, your hands are stained with blood.

On hearing this from Abhishek Banerjee, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj came into form and said, he made personal comments on our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi… and he should apologize for the words he used and these words should be expunged from the record.

As if there is an attempt by TMC to establish its dominance in Parliament

Trinamool Congress is the second largest opposition party in the Lok Sabha after Congress and Samajwadi Party. Along with Congress, Samajwadi Party is also trying to establish its dominance in Delhi with the victory in Ayodhya – and from the latest attitude of Abhishek Banerjee, Trinamool Congress also seems to be making a similar attempt.

Even if Abhishek Banerjee clashes with Om Birla, the target is still Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi does the same thing, and so does Akhilesh Yadav – but Abhishek Banerjee directly targets Prime Minister Modi separately.

In his speech in Lok Sabha, Abhishek Banerjee reminds of the statement of Prime Minister Modi on the collapse of a flyover in Kolkata, at that time Modi ji had said that this is not an act of God but an act of fraud.

And then they start asking by naming subsequent accidents, when the bridge collapsed in Morbi, Gujarat, what was that… an act of God or an act of fraud? When the roof of the airport collapsed, what was that… an act of God or an act of fraud? When the roof of the Ram temple in Ayodhya started leaking in the first rain, what was that… an act of God or an act of fraud?

And recalling such railway accidents, B Abhishek Banerjee raised the question… what was all this, an act of God or an act of fraud?

Opposition MPs applauded Abhishek Banerjee’s speech. So far, the opposition seems united in Parliament, it does not seem scattered like before.

In the speech of Krishnanagar Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Banerjee, Rahul Gandhi was also heard calling her ‘our leader’, but Mamata Banerjee’s attitude still does not let us understand clearly whether she is in the INDIA block or not.

However, Mamata Banerjee is coming to Delhi to attend the meeting of Niti Aayog. Her stand on India Block will be understood only when she meets Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi or Mallikarjun Kharge or returns to Kolkata after meeting only Prime Minister Modi.
