‘We will conduct caste census by holding our ears…’, said Lalu Yadav

The political atmosphere in the country is heated regarding the caste census. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav has given a big statement. Lalu said, we will get the caste census done by holding the ears of these RSS/BJP people and making them do sit-ups. Lalu further said, what is their status that they will not get the caste census done?

Lalu Yadav has issued an official statement. He said, we will force them (central government) so much that they will have to do caste census. The time has come to show unity of Dalits, backward, tribals and poor. Earlier, Lalu Yadav’s son and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav had said, who can refuse caste census? These people do not want the census to be done, otherwise BJP would not have brought people to court again and again. We have asked questions in Parliament many times, it is clear from their answer that they do not want to do caste census. Their words are one thing, their actions are another.

In response to a question, Tejashwi said that they (the Centre) have nothing to do with reservation. These people want to change Baba Saheb’s Constitution. Their real agenda is only to change the Constitution.

RSS has also given a statement

Earlier on Monday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) also made a statement on the caste census. The RSS had expressed its concerns about the caste census to maintain the unity and integrity of the society. The Sangh said, this has been discussed under the Panch Parivartan, and the organization has decided that work will be done to promote harmony at the mass level. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said that caste reactions are a sensitive issue in our society and it is important for national integration. He clarified that the caste census should not be used for election campaign and electoral purposes.

What did Congress leader Rahul Gandhi say?

Earlier, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi had also given a statement on caste census. Sharing a survey of India Today on the social media platform ‘X’, Rahul wrote, ‘Modi ji, if you are thinking of stopping the caste census then you are dreaming. No power can stop it now! Hindustan’s order has come – soon 90% of Indians will support and demand caste census. Implement the order now, or you will see the next Prime Minister doing it.
