‘We don’t pay much attention to who is saying what below’, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar hits back at BJP leader

There has been a constant tussle in the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra since the Lok Sabha elections. Now Maharashtra Deputy CM and NCP Chief Ajit Pawar has hit back at the BJP spokesperson’s statement saying that we have discussed with Amit Shah and PM Modi. We should not put much emphasis on who is speaking at the bottom.

In fact, recently BJP spokesperson Ganesh Hek targeted Ajit Pawar’s faction of NCP and said that they (NCP) should leave the Mahayuti alliance. The Deputy Chief Minister has reacted by counterattacking this statement of the BJP leader.

He said that we have discussed with Amit Shah, PM Modi and Devendra Fadnavis. They do not pay much attention to who is speaking below.

‘I do my job’

He also targeted Shiv Sena leader of Eknath Shinde’s faction and Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant. He said that I do not want to comment on anyone… I do my work… I am a working person… I do not care about who says what.

What did Tanaji Sawant say?

Speaking at an event on August 29, Tanaji Sawant said that I am a Shiv Sainik. It is true that Congress and NCP never got along in our lives. Ever since I was a student, there was never any coordination. This is the truth. Today, even if I sit with them (NCP) in the cabinet, I feel like vomiting after coming out. I cannot tolerate it.

He said that I certainly sit with NCP chief Ajit Pawar in the cabinet but as soon as I come out, I start vomiting. This cannot be stopped. It is not that this cannot be changed but we are committed to our principles. He said that just like a person with allergy vomits after taking pills, the same situation is with me.
