Nature’s wrath is being seen in Wayanad, Kerala. More than 200 people have lost their lives due to landslides in Wayanad amid heavy rains, while many are buried under the debris. Rescue operations are being carried out by the government to save people. At the same time, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had also announced a relief fund for the people affected by this disaster. Now along with the general public, South cinema stars have also donated money to the CM Relief Fund to help the needy.
Stars donated money
‘Animal’ actress Rashmika Mandana has extended a helping hand to the people trapped and injured in the accident. The actress has donated Rs 10 lakh to the CM Relief Fund. Apart from Rashmika, Malayalam actor Fahadh Fazil and his wife Nazriya Nazim have also donated Rs 25 lakh to the CM Relief Fund to help the victims. All the stars have become real life heroes by helping the people trapped in trouble.

So much damage has been done so far
The death toll in the landslide after heavy rains in Wayanad has reached close to 256. On Monday, the strong flow of water from the hill in Wayanad changed the direction of the flow of the Iruvazhinji river, due to which everything on its banks got submerged. Now only debris is visible here instead of greenery. Before the landslide, this river was flowing in a straight line and villages were settled on the banks, but now the river has swallowed the entire area. Due to continuous rain, difficulties are also being faced in rescue operations.
The PM had made this announcement
According to the information, a landslide occurred in Wayanad at around 2 am on Tuesday, 27 July. After this, a landslide occurred again at around 4.10 am. Due to the landslide, more than 116 people were trapped in the debris, a rescue operation was launched to take them out. With the progress of the rescue operation, the death toll increased further. Keeping this disaster in mind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to the families of those who lost their lives due to the landslide in Wayanad. Apart from this, an announcement was also made to give Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
