Walz splits with JD Vance and Trump over IVF — not mentioning the former president’s free IVF proposal

“My marriage to my wife Gwen is the most important thing in my life. I love her deeply. Why should I stop someone else from marrying someone they love?” he said. “It doesn’t make any sense.”

He added, “It’s a fact of life that some people are gay. But you know what’s not a fact of life? Our kids need to be shot in schools,” Walz said.

Walz is seen as an LGBTQ ally, with Minnesota enacting laws protecting access to gender-affirming health care and abortion, as well as banning conversion therapy.
