Vinesh Phogat will get silver medal winner’s reward, respect and facilities in Haryana… CM made the announcement

Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has announced her retirement from wrestling after being disqualified before the finals at the Paris Olympics. Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced that the government will welcome and felicitate Vinesh Phogat like a medalist.

The Chief Minister said that all the respect, rewards and facilities that the Haryana government gives to the silver medalist in the Olympics will be gratefully given to Vinesh Phogat as well. CM Saini said through the social media platform X, “Our brave daughter of Haryana, Vinesh Phogat, had entered the finals of the Olympics by performing brilliantly. Due to some reasons, she may not have been able to play the final of the Olympics, but she is a champion for all of us.”

Earlier, while announcing her retirement from wrestling, Vinesh Phogat had said, “Maa, wrestling won over me, I lost. Forgive me, your dream, my courage is all shattered, I don’t have any more strength left. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024. I will always be indebted to all of you.”

Haryana government gives 6 crores for winning gold

The Haryana government had announced a reward of Rs 6 crore for the player who wins gold medal in Paris Olympics, Rs 4 crore for the player who wins silver medal and Rs 2.5 crore for the player who wins bronze medal. Apart from this, the state government will also give Rs 15 lakh to the players participating in the Olympics. Along with this, government jobs of Group A, Group B or Group C will also be given according to the medal.
