Vinesh Phogat will be the Congress candidate from Julana, Bajrang Punia will not contest Haryana elections!

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat has joined hands with Congress just before the Haryana assembly elections. According to sources, Vinesh Phogat will contest from Julana assembly seat, while Bajrang Punia will not contest the election. Congress election committee meeting was held regarding Haryana assembly elections. So far, a decision has been taken on a total of 71 seats. Bajrang Punia will not contest the election. Although earlier there was a discussion that Bajrang Punia could contest from Badli. Because Bajrang comes from Badli. But now the situation is clear that he will not contest the election and will only campaign.

Let us tell you that wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have joined Congress today. Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence at 10, Rajaji Marg. After this, they joined the Congress at the AICC headquarters in the presence of Congress General Secretary in-charge Organization KC Venugopal, AICC General Secretary in-charge Haryana Deepak Babaria, Haryana Congress chief Uday Bhan and Congress media and publicity department head Pawan Khera.

What did Vinesh say after joining Congress?

After joining the party, Vinesh Phogat had said that the BJP was supporting Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, while the Congress supported the protesting wrestlers when they were “dragged on the streets” in Delhi. She said that I thank the people of the country and the media, you supported me during my wrestling journey. I thank the Congress party, tough times tell you who is with you. When we were dragged on the streets, all parties stood with us except the BJP. I am starting a new innings, I want the players not to have to endure all that we had to go through. She said that we will not be afraid and will not back down. Our court case is going on, we will win that too.

Venugopal had spoken about the railway’s notice

Meanwhile, KC Venugopal claimed that the Railways had issued a notice to Vinesh Phogat after meeting Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday. Party sources said that the notice said that she had violated service rules by meeting political leaders. However, the Indian Railways has said that no notice has been given to Vinesh Phogat after resigning from the Railways.

‘Big day for Congress’

Venugopal said it was a “big day” for the Congress and welcoming Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia into the party was a proud moment “for all of us”. He said the whole country stood with them when they protested, citing the support extended by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and other Congress leaders.
