Vinesh Phogat Medal Case Updates: Whether Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat will get a medal or not, now it is being heard by CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport). The ad hoc division of CAS has registered the application in the case of Vinesh Phogat. Vinesh had decided to retire in an emotional post after she was disqualified from the Olympics. An Australian judge is mediating this case. At the same time, a decision can come on this before the Olympics end. The Paris Olympics is ending on 11 August.

Vinesh will give these four arguments during the hearing.

A press release was issued by CAS in the case of Vinesh Phogat and a big update related to this case was given. Vinesh’s case was registered as CAS OG 24/17 Vinesh Phogat vs United World Wrestling (UWW) and International Olympic Committee (IOC). CAS said that in this case, an application was given by Vinesh Phogat on 7 August 2024 at 8:15 am Indian time. In this, Vinesh had requested that she be allowed to qualify for the final and she be considered eligible for the gold medal match.

CAS said that the ad hoc division process in Vinesh’s case is fast, but it is not possible to issue a decision on merit within an hour. But now the matter has been referred to a former judge Dr Annabelle Bennett AC SC. Annabelle Bennett AC SC is an additional judge in the Federal Court of Australia. Who is mediating this case.

Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Olympics on Wednesday for being overweight ahead of the final of the women’s 50kg wrestling event at the Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh created history by becoming the first Indian female wrestler to reach the Olympic final. Till morning she seemed certain to win at least a silver medal, but she was found to be 100 grams overweight. 29-year-old Vinesh was taken to the polyclinic in Khelgaon as she was dehydrated in the morning.
