Vinesh Phogat Case Verdict Live Updates: After Paris Olympics 2024, the decision in Vinesh Phogat’s case is yet to come. The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) may announce its decision in a short while. If this decision comes in favor of Vinesh, she will get the silver medal. Whereas if it comes against her, she will be disappointed.

The detailed order of this decision has already been issued. Dr Annabelle Bennett AC SC will pronounce the verdict in this case. Let us tell you that earlier CAS had fixed 10 August to pronounce the verdict. Usually the ad-hoc panel is given 24 hours to pronounce the verdict. But in this case a long date was kept for giving the verdict.

What is this matter and how did it start? Actually, during the Paris Olympics, Vinesh had confirmed the silver medal by entering the finals of 50 kg freestyle wrestling by playing 3 consecutive matches on August 6. The gold medal match was to be held on the night of August 7, but Vinesh was disqualified the same morning because her weight was 100 grams more before the match.

After this, Vinesh filed a case in CAS. Her first demand was that she should be allowed to play the gold medal match. But citing the rules, her demand was immediately rejected. After this, Vinesh appealed and said that she should be given the silver medal in this event.

Wrestler Vinesh retired from wrestling

The final of 50 kg freestyle wrestling was played at the Paris Olympics on 7 August. After this, the next day Vinesh Phogat announced her retirement from wrestling. She gave this information by posting on social media.

Vinesh Phogat said that mother, wrestling was won by me. I lost, sorry, your dreams, my courage, everything is broken. I don’t have more strength now. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024. She apologized and said that she will always be indebted to all of you.
