Vinesh Phogat at Paris 2024 Olympics: Star Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat performed brilliantly in the pre-quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics. She defeated the current Olympic champion and four-time world champion Yui Susaki 3-2 in the 50 kg weight category. In this match, Olympic gold medalist Yui Susaki was leading initially, but in the last 15 seconds Vinesh turned the tables. Now she has made it to the quarterfinals.

Keep in mind that before this Susaki has not faced a single defeat in her international career. It was believed that it would be a difficult task for Vinesh to cross the first round, because she was competing against the Japanese player who had won the gold medal in the Tokyo Games without losing a single point. But Vinesh showed great courage and turned the whole match around.
