A very shocking incident has come to light on the Atal Setu bridge in Mumbai. Here a woman jumped into the sea to commit suicide, at that very moment the cab driver caught her. A few seconds later the police team arrived and risking their own lives, showed courage and climbed on the railing to save the woman’s life. A video of this incident has surfaced.
According to police officials, 56-year-old woman Reema Mukesh Patel is a resident of Mulund, Mumbai. Reema had booked a cab and asked the driver to stop the car when she reached the middle of the Atal Setu bridge. After getting down from the car, Reema climbed on the railing of the bridge. Since CCTV cameras are installed at various places on Atal Setu, the control room noticed the woman.
After this, the police present in the control room immediately informed the patrolling team. As soon as the information was received, four policemen Lalit Shirshat, Kiran Mate, Yash Sonawane and Mayur Patil left immediately. As soon as the policemen were about to reach the spot, the woman jumped into the sea, but the cab driver quickly caught the woman with one hand.
After this, the police team reached within a few seconds and the four policemen climbed the railing of the bridge and rescued the woman with the help of the cab driver. The woman is a housewife. It is not yet clear why she took this step. At present, the police team has started investigating this matter.
