Landslides following heavy rains in Wayanad, Kerala have caused massive destruction. Landslides occurred at three places in 4 hours and four villages were washed away. Bodies are still being recovered from the debris. The Army, Air Force and Navy are engaged in relief and rescue operations. The Meteorological Department has issued a 2-day red alert, due to which helicopters cannot fly. Drone pictures are enough to show the devastation in Wayanad.
