A video disappointing the people who love to eat patties has been going viral from Varanasi for the last two days. In this, a person is opening a patty in front of the staff in a restaurant and claiming that it has mold. In the video, the restaurant employee is seen admitting the mistake and asking to return the patties.

In the video, the person complaining about the presence of fungus in the patties is seen complaining about it to someone on the phone. Now taking cognizance of this video, the Food and Drug Administration (Food Safety Department) of Varanasi has raided both the branches of Annapurna Restaurant and taken sampling action. Its report will come out after two weeks.

Both the branches of Annapurna Restaurant in Varanasi, Bhelupur and Ramkatora, were raided for hours. The viral video is being said to be of the Bhelupur branch of Annapurna Restaurant. The Food Safety Department took samples of patties from here and also raided the other branch and manufacturing unit of the restaurant located in Ramkatora area. Samples of five food items including flour, sugar, sweets, petha and cheese were taken from here and sent for testing.

Regarding this, Chief Food Safety Officer Amit Srivastava said that a total of 6 samples have been collected from both the branches. As soon as the report comes, legal action will be taken accordingly. He said that during the raid, many patties were also broken and examined, but nothing like fungus was seen. Samples have been collected on the basis of suspicion.

The food safety officer said that the report will come after two weeks, and legal action will be taken accordingly if any irregularities are found. He said that taking suo motu cognizance of the viral video, a team was formed and raids and sampling action was taken.
