People who went to their brothers and sisters’ houses to celebrate Raksha Bandhan had to face hours-long traffic jams on the roads of NCR. People had to face long traffic jams on the roads going from Noida to Delhi. There were long queues of thousands of vehicles and buses.
Despite the vigilance of the traffic police, the jam did not reduce. Everyone wanted to reach their brother’s and sister’s house on time to celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Due to this, people got stuck in the jam at the same time and the traffic on the roads got overloaded. Especially on the road connecting Noida to Delhi, additional deployment of traffic police personnel was also done to clear the jam.
Vehicles kept crawling on Chilla border
There was no impact on the jam due to the large number of vehicles. People had to face long jams till late evening. A huge crowd of vehicles was seen at 14 A Chilla border connecting Noida and Delhi. Vehicles were seen crawling on the roads.
There was a 5 kilometer long jam at Kalindi Kunj
There was a jam of about 5 kms at Kalindi Kunj border. Heavy traffic was seen on DND as well. People who were returning home after getting or tying Rakhi were also stuck in this jam. The traffic police remained busy in clearing the jam till late evening.
