Good news for millions of passengers of Indian Railways: Indian Railways has given another huge gift to its crores of passengers; Vande Bharat Metro train of Indian Railways has started running on the track. On August 3, a successful trial run of the country’s first Vande Metro train was conducted. Please note that the Railways is going to launch the Vande Metro version of Vande Bharat; this Vande Bharat Metro train will be for short distances. Let us tell you that Vande Metro trains can replace MEMU trains.
The Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety was on board the Vande Metro during the trial run between Chennai Station Beach and Katpadi Junction. The trial run of the Vande Bharat Metro train was conducted from Chennai Beach to Katpadi Junction. During the trial run, the Vande Metro train covered a distance of 130 km.
The departure time of the train from Chennai Beach station was 9.30 am and then on reaching Villivakam, some officials boarded the train.
However, it is not yet clear whether the train will run only between Chennai Beach and Katpadi station or on some other route.
Vande Metro was prepared a few months ago in Integral Coach Factory. It is a fully AC train. Its top speed will be 130 kilometers per hour. Like Vande Bharat, in this too the doors will open automatically and passengers will get more facilities than other trains.

Vande Metro train will have the same facilities as Vande Bharat train
According to information received from railway sources, the Vande Metro train will have the same facilities as the Vande Bharat train. Its features will also be similar to those of the Vande Bharat train.
However, there will not be a pantry. Actually this train is being run for short distances so that one can travel easily from one city to another.
Seating capacity for around 100 passengers in one coach
There will be seating capacity for about 100 passengers in a coach. Apart from this, 200 passengers will be able to travel standing. The trial train of Vande Bharat Metro train has been started. This trial run will continue like this for the next few days. Vande Bharat Metro train can be launched for the general public before 5 August.
