Uttarakhand Weather Alert: Heavy rain continues in Uttarakhand. Heavy rain alert has been issued for many districts of Uttarakhand. In view of heavy rain, Chardham Yatra has been postponed till tomorrow. If the weather remains good, the journey can start from Monday.

Chardham Yatra postponed

In view of the Meteorological Department’s warning of heavy to very heavy rains in various districts of Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, the Chardham Yatra has been postponed for tomorrow i.e. July 7. Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has issued orders in this regard.

Landslide in Pithoragarh

Due to the continuous rain in Uttarakhand, people are facing a lot of problems. Amidst heavy rains, there have been reports of landslides at many places. Many roads have been cut off due to debris. The havoc of heavy rains is also being seen in Pithoragarh. There has been a landslide near the drain on the Gangolihat Ghat-Pithoragarh National Highway. The road was closed due to debris due to the landslide. There has been a long jam due to hundreds of vehicles getting stuck on the road. At the same time, the work of removing debris from the road is being done rapidly. Work is being done rapidly to open the road with a bulldozer.

How will the weather be in Uttarakhand

IMD said in its weather forecast that heavy rains may occur in the state on Sunday as well. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall at different places in the state on July 8. For this, red alert has been issued for some districts and orange alert for some.
