UPSC candidates’ protest continued on the 5th day, Gautam, who was part of the 15-member team, revealed the plan

UPSC aspirants protest, The protest by the candidates preparing for the civil services examination against the death of students at a coaching centre in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi continued for the fifth day on Thursday. The area was again waterlogged due to heavy rains a day earlier.

Students’ protest will continue!

Gautam, who is preparing for the civil services examination, said that we will continue our protest. The rain on Wednesday showed everyone what kind of situation we have to face in such conditions in this area. Gautam is also part of a 15-member team formed by the protesting students on Wednesday, which will decide the future strategy of the protest and communicate with the concerned authorities.

MCD officials visited the protest site

Senior officials of Delhi Police and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) visited the protest site to address the concerns of the students and maintain law and order in the area.

Three students died

Heavy rains lashed Delhi’s Old Rajendra Nagar area on Wednesday evening, leaving pedestrians apprehensive about their safety as they waded through waterlogged lanes. Last week, three students of a coaching centre in the area died after water entered the basement.

Several videos of the flood-like situation in the area surfaced on the internet. Many coaching centres are located in this area. The MCD is being severely criticised for the incident, which has led to a political blame game between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Since the incident on July 27, students have been protesting and demanding better safety measures in coaching centres.

Durgesh Pathak met the students amidst the rain

After the rain, AAP MLA from Rajendra Nagar, Durgesh Pathak reached the area. In a video shared by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on ‘X’, Pathak was seen walking in knee-deep water along with some students. Three students named Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni and Navin Delvin died after rainwater entered inside the basement of Rao IAS Study Circle in Old Rajendra Nagar on the evening of July 27.
