Uproar in school after deleting Ganesh Chaturthi greetings, principal arrested on complaint by villagers

Deleting Ganesh Chaturthi greetings from a school’s WhatsApp group in Kota, Rajasthan proved costly for the school principal. Angry villagers created a ruckus in the school. Later, the principal was arrested on the complaint of the villagers. The case is from Laturi village of Bapwar police station in Kota rural.

According to the information, there was a lot of ruckus in Laturi village of Bapwar police station on Saturday. The matter was about wishing Lord Ganpati on Ganesh Chaturthi. In this case, the villagers accused the school principal of deleting the wishes. After this, there was a ruckus outside the school and a demand was raised to remove the school principal. On the complaint of the villagers in this matter, the police reached the spot. The villagers also submitted a memorandum to remove the principal.

Police said this in the case

Bapwar police station officer Uttam Singh said that the school principal has been arrested on charges of disturbing peace. There is a social media group of the Government Higher Secondary School in Laturi village. People of Laturi village are also connected to it. On Saturday, Bharat Nagar of the village posted a post on this WhatsApp group wishing Ganesh Chaturthi.

Principal arrested on charges of disturbing peace

It was deleted by the school’s acting principal Shafi Mohammad Ansari. About 2 hours later, another teacher posted it. That too was deleted by Shafi Mohammad. This infuriated the villagers and they reached the school. They raised slogans outside the school. People demanded that Shafi Mohammad Ansari be expelled from the school, otherwise a big agitation would be organized. People were explained and Sangod resident Shafi Mohammad Ansari was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace.
