UP: When a girl protested against molestation, the miscreants pointed a pistol at her and said you too, two arrested after encounter

A shocking case of molestation of a 16-year-old minor girl in broad daylight has come to light in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested the two accused who carried out this incident. Illegal weapons have also been recovered from them.

According to the information, some miscreants were molesting a minor girl in public. When the victim protested, one of the miscreants threatened her by hitting her private part. When the people present on the spot tried to catch the miscreants, they pointed a gun at her in public.

The student lodged a complaint about this incident in the local police station. The police caught one accused from the spot while two accused were arrested during an encounter within 24 hours. On this matter, SP Southern Manush Parik said that on 17 August 2024, an incident of molestation of a girl took place under Amla police station. In this regard, a case was registered under relevant sections under case number 434/24 BNS, SC ST Act and POCSO Act.

The victim told the police that the accused crossed all limits of obscenity and said that they will convert her to Islam. They threatened her with a gun and said that it won’t take long to convert her. After this entire incident, there was tension in the area. The police reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Police said that the accused Aamir and Salim had tried to escape by firing at the police team with the intention to kill them. After the encounter, both the accused were shot in the leg and were arrested. 2 pistols of 315 bore and 2 fired shells of 315 bore were recovered from the possession of the miscreants. A case has also been registered against them in Aonla under the Arms Act.

It is being told that the victim student is a resident of a village in Aonla police station area of ​​Bareilly. She is studying in an inter college and had gone to the Janseva Kendra in Aonla for exam work. While going home, Aamir and Faizan molested her on Sargam Talkies Road. Police say that strict action will be taken against the accused.
