UP: Stone pelting and lathi-charge between two parties over planting of trees in Kaushambi, video goes viral

There was stone pelting and heavy lathi charge between two parties in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. Many people were injured in this incident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Heavy police force is deployed on the spot and somehow the matter was pacified. During this, many people have been detained. The video of the incident has also gone viral on social media. It is being told that there was a dispute over planting trees.

This incident is from Kada Dham Kotwali Ghoshiana Sipahi village. Saddam Hussain of the village said that he was making a boundary wall in his field while Amjad of the same village said that Saddam was planting trees in his field. Both of them abused each other and fought over this issue. When they reached home, people from both the sides gathered and attacked each other. Both sides used sticks and bricks and threw stones. In this incident of fighting, Saddam Hussain, Sartaj, Noor Alam and from the other side, Amjad, Mohd. Jilani were injured.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of the villagers, the matter was pacified. Both the parties have lodged a complaint against each other in the police station. The police have registered a case against 11 named and 21 unknown people and admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment.

The police took several people into custody

On this matter, Sirathu DSP Awadhesh Vishwakarma said that on Monday, there was a fight between two parties in Sipah village under Kada Dham police station area over planting trees. In which many people were seriously injured. Tahrir has been received from both the parties and the matter is being investigated seriously. Many people have been taken into custody and are being questioned.
