UP: Officers who do not provide details of movable and immovable assets will not get salary for the month of August

In the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, the officers who do not provide the details of movable and immovable property will not get the salary for the month of August. According to the information received, the Yogi government has instructed all the department heads to pay salary to those officers and employees who have provided information about their immovable property. At the same time, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh has issued a letter to all the Principal Secretaries, Additional Chief Secretaries, Secretaries as well as Directors General, Directors, Department Heads and Office Heads on August 17, in which it has been said that all the officers and employees of the state were instructed to provide the details of movable and immovable property by December 31, 2023 on the Manav Sampada portal, following Rule 2 and 4 of the Government Conduct Rules 1956.

It was also said that if the personnel do not give the details of their assets, then their promotion will not be considered in the meeting of the departmental selection committee to be held after January 1, 2024 and action will also be taken.

It was also said in the letter that when the Manav Sampada portal was reviewed, it was found that fewer employees than the number of employees in the state have given the details of their assets and the rest of the employees did not follow it. In view of this, the deadline has now been extended till 31 August, but if the registered employees do not give the details of their movable and immovable assets within this deadline, then they will not get the salary for the month of August.

The Chief Secretary also mentioned in his letter that those employees who have not given information about their movable and immovable assets in 2023 but have given information about 2024, should provide their assets of 2023 in 2024. Overall, the state government has now given instructions to pay salaries only after knowing the details of movable and immovable assets of officers and employees.
