An attempt was made to rape a minor girl from Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh and force her to convert to another religion. It is alleged that when the minor had gone to defecate, a boy forcibly raped her. After this, he also started pressuring the girl to convert to another religion. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
According to the information, the 16-year-old minor had gone out of the house in the morning to the fields to defecate. Then a young man named Firoz, who lived in the neighborhood, came and grabbed the girl from behind. When the people around heard the girl’s screams and reached the spot, the accused had already fled.
The victim alleges that the youth threatened her with death and also pressured her to change her religion. The police have registered a case against the accused youth under serious sections including the POCSO Act and have arrested the accused youth and sent him to jail.
On this matter, DSP Abhishek Singh said that a complaint was filed by the victim in Manjhanpur police station. A youth of another religion raped her. He also pressured her to convert her religion. A case has been registered in Manjhanpur police station under rape and Uttar Pradesh law for illegal conversion of religion and the accused has been arrested.
