UP: Main accused of solver gang caught after four years, police had placed a reward of 25 thousand

In the year 2021-22, the recruitment examination of UP Police Sub Inspector was conducted. After passing the examination, when the turn came for the next stage i.e. document verification, a candidate Ritesh Yadav could not submit his documents. After selection, like other candidates, Ritesh Yadav also had to show his documents to the recruitment board. When Ritesh was asked about this, he confessed that the examination was done in connivance with the employees of the IT sector posted at the centers. Ajay Chauhan and BK Singh of the gang that passed the examination have his original documents deposited with them. Ritesh Yadav was also selected through this gang that passed the examination.

15 lakh rupees were given to pass the exam
After this was revealed, the board started an investigation and an FIR was lodged against 11 candidates including Ritesh Yadav in Lucknow’s Hussainganj police station. The investigation of this case was handed over to UPSTF. BK Singh and Ajay Chauhan were taking contracts to help candidates pass the exam for Rs 15 lakh by claiming to be secretariat employees. The contract to help Ritesh Yadav pass the exam for Rs 15 lakh was taken by the accused Shashikant Ram who was arrested today.

A reward of 25 thousand was placed on the accused
The name of Shashikant Ram came up in this investigation of STF. To find Shashikant, the police announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on him. Now Shashikant has been found. UPSTF has arrested Shashikant from Delhi and he has been sent to jail in the Hussainganj case registered in Lucknow.

When was the exam held?
Let us tell you that the result of this recruitment exam was declared on 13 June 2022. Due to the number of contenders in the online written examination being more than 12 lakh, the examination was conducted in 54 shifts for 18 days. After the written examination, 9534 candidates who passed the record test, physical standard and physical efficiency test were selected on the basis of their merit and reservation rules of the government. Online exam for Sub Inspector recruitment in Uttar Pradesh Police started from 12 November. This online recruitment exam was conducted in three phases between 12 November to 3 December. Through this recruitment process, 9534 posts of Sub Inspector were filled.
