UP government will celebrate the centenary year of Kakori train action with great pomp, many programs will be held from 9 to 15 August

The UP government will celebrate the centenary of the Kakori train action, which is considered a milestone in the freedom struggle. For this, while there will be different events for a week from 9 August, the tricolor will be hoisted in every house on 13-15 August. Public representatives will be present in these programs. On this occasion, the families of martyrs, freedom fighters and ex-servicemen will also be honored. UP CM Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the programs of the Kakori centenary year celebrations and gave instructions for it.

In fact, the Yogi government of UP has prepared a series of programs for the centenary year of Kakori train action. Kakori train action is an important event in the freedom struggle. On the centenary festival, programs will be held on different dates across the state. These events will start from 9 August. At the same time, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will be organized between 13 and 15 August, in which the tricolor will be hoisted in every house. The Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the events to be held in the centenary year in a meeting of officials and departments.

The Culture Department and the Tourism Department have been made the nodal departments for the centenary year celebrations. Ministers and MLAs will have to be present in the events. CM Yogi has also directed that while training the police, PAC, Home Guard, Paramilitary, Military, NCC and school bands, the national anthem and patriotic songs should be played at the martyr sites, memorials etc. of the state from 9 to 15 August. Volunteers of Yuvak and Mahila Mangal Dal, Scout Guide, NCC, NSS should also be associated with the Kakori Train Action Centenary Festival and Har Ghar Tiranga programs.

Along with this, the cooperation of social and business organizations, voluntary organizations should also be taken. A special booklet will also be prepared for the centenary year of Kakori. On 9 August 1925, revolutionaries challenged the British rule by looting the treasure being carried in a train in Kakori near Lucknow. How did this robbery happen? Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, Chandrashekhar Azad, Rajendra Lahiri, Sachindra Bakshi were carried out by revolutionaries.

What was the Kakori incident after all?

The Kakori incident that happened on 9 August 1925 is always known for Ramprasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, Rajendra Prasad Lahiri and many other revolutionaries. The revolutionaries associated with the Hindustan Republic Association (HRA) then carried out this incident. This incident is related to a train robbery, which left from Kakori on 9 August 1925. The agitators had planned to rob this train. When the train was about 8 miles away from Lucknow, three revolutionaries sitting in it stopped the train and looted the government treasury.

The freedom fighters used German Mauser for this and looted four thousand rupees from the British government treasury. Ramprasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan and Roshan Singh were hanged for the Kakori incident. Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh later wrote about this incident in detail.
