UP: Gang claiming to provide constable recruitment paper for Rs 5 lakh arrested

In Sambhal district of UP, police have arrested three youths of a gang who were trying to dupe people of lakhs of rupees by promising to leak the UP constable exam paper. Where the three youths of the gang were claiming to give the question paper of the police recruitment exam to a candidate for Rs 5 lakh. Police have arrested the three accused youths and registered a case under serious sections and the police team is also interrogating them.

They were giving constable recruitment paper for 5 lakh rupees

In fact, Rambhajan, a resident of Chaupur village, called Mohit, a resident of Mutaina village of Rajpura police station area, and offered him the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Exam paper for Rs 5 lakh. Mohit informed his family about the matter. Mohit’s family member Gyan Prakash immediately informed the Dial 112 police about the matter. After this, the police team reached the complainant’s house and became active to arrest the gang claiming to have leaked the paper.

Case filed under new law for paper leak

Rajpura police station immediately registered a case against three accused youths Rambhajan, Praveen and Yogesh under section 318 (4) of BNS and section 11/13 of UP Public Examination Act on the basis of the complaint of complainant Gyan Prakash. Along with this, two other people are also involved in the gang. Police arrested Rambhajan, a resident of Chaupur village, Yogesh, a resident of Allipur village of Amroha district and Praveen, a resident of Jhurairi village.

Evidence of paper leak was not found from the accused

After the arrest, the police team immediately searched the mobile phones of the three accused as well as their social media accounts. Different police teams are trying to find out the truth behind the claim of paper leak from the three accused. But till now no source of paper leak has been found from the three accused. But after interrogation it has become clear that the gang of the three accused was trying to trap the candidates in their gang by claiming to leak the paper.

The accused were trying to escape after collecting the money

SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said that Gyan Prakash, a resident of Rajpur police station area, has lodged a complaint against Rambhajan, Yogesh, a resident of Chaupur village and Praveen, a resident of Amroha district. It is alleged that these three youths were spreading rumours and giving false promises of leaking the paper of Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered for attempting fraud and spreading rumours about the public examination. Accused Rambhajan, Yogesh and Praveen have been arrested. After arresting the three accused, when a search was conducted, no such material has been recovered yet. During interrogation, it has been learned that they do not have any material related to the question paper, rather these people were trying to escape after trapping the candidates and extorting money. These people used to contact only the people they knew.
