UP Crime: Two girls were found hanging from a tree, a panel of doctors said it was a suicide, no injury marks were found

Dalit girls were hanged on trees in Farrukhabad: The bodies of two Dalit girls were found hanging from a tree outside a village in Fatehgarh, Uttar Pradesh. After which there was a stir. Now a day after the incident, on Wednesday, a panel of doctors has indicated that the death of both the girls was a suicide. The panel says that they died due to hanging.

In fact, the police had said on Tuesday that the Dalit girls aged 15 and 18 had left their house at around 10 pm on August 26 to go to a nearby temple on the occasion of Janmashtami, but they did not return home. Both of them were residents of Bhagoutipur village.

The district’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Avnindra Singh told PTI that a panel of doctors has conducted the post-mortem of both the bodies. The girls died due to hanging. No external injury marks have been found on the bodies. The CMO said that the panel of doctors has sent slides of vaginal fluid to the laboratory for examination to rule out the possibility of rape. The post-mortem report has confirmed antemortem hanging. The entire process of post-mortem has been videographed.

Police said the post-mortem findings matched their initial investigation into the case. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Alok Priyadarshi said the police investigation findings matched the post-mortem findings. The girls had committed suicide. No external injury marks were found on the bodies. He said police teams were now investigating the reasons that led the girls to take this step.

Meanwhile, the father of one of the deceased girls has alleged that the post-mortem report is false and the report is fake. The father told PTI, “You have found out that they committed suicide by hanging, but the injury marks on their bodies have not come in your report. All this is fake. All the reports are false.”

Police said the family members of the girls had initially refused to cremate them and demanded to meet the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police. They said the two officials met the family members and assured them of a speedy investigation into the case, following which the family agreed to cremate the deceased.

Let us tell you that on Tuesday morning, the bodies of the teenagers were recovered outside a village in Kaimganj police station area. According to the police, both the girls were good friends and lived in the same locality. Police said that the bodies were hanging from two dupattas, which were tied together. Police is investigating the whole matter seriously.
