UP constable recruitment exam: STF caught five thugs, they were dealing in papers for up to 15 lakhs

UP Police Constable Exam 2024: A case of fraud has come to light in the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. UP Special Task Force (UP STF) has arrested five fraudsters from Agra and Pratapgarh. These people were cheating the candidates by taking money from them and promising to give them the paper before the examination.

Two arrested in Pratapgarh

The Prayagraj unit of UPSTF has arrested Shubham Sonkar and Pawan Kumar from Manikpur police station area of ​​Pratapgarh. Both of them were taking Rs 14 lakh from the candidates of UP Police constable recruitment examination and promising to give them the paper. One of their associates Arun Pratap Singh is still absconding and the STF is searching for him.

Three arrested in Agra

At the same time, the Meerut unit of STF has arrested Amit Kumar, Vinay Baghel and Akhilesh from the Trans Yamuna police station area of ​​Agra. The Meerut unit of STF has arrested these three from the Trans Yamuna area of ​​Agra. These three were staying in a hotel in Agra and used to take an advance of 50 thousand to one lakh rupees from the candidates in the name of giving the paper for 15 lakh rupees. If any candidate passed the exam with his hard work, then they used to recover the entire money.

Online Exam Center in Jhansi

The candidates caught also have a DSB computer lab in Sipri Bazar, Jhansi, which conducts online exams. This matter is a matter of concern for lakhs of candidates who appear for the exam honestly. This matter is a challenge for the government as it has to ensure transparency and fairness in recruitment exams. The February 2024 exam is being cancelled due to paper leak and is being held again in August.

Let us tell you that about 48 lakh youth had applied for a total of 60,244 vacancies of UP Police Constable. After the cancellation of the recruitment exam in February, the re-exam was held in two shifts on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August 2024. This time when the strictness increased, lakhs of candidates left the recruitment exam. This time strict security arrangements have been made so that there is no disturbance in the examination. Top officials are inspecting the examination centers. Live monitoring of the exam room is being done with the help of CCTV cameras. Verification is being done with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) before the entry of the candidates at the exam center. Despite this, the fraudsters are trying to break into the paper.
