By-elections are important for SP in view of 2027
For SP, the by-elections on 10 seats in UP are very important. Akhilesh Yadav and his party want to prove that winning 37 seats in the Lok Sabha elections was not a fluke. SP leader Tej Narayan alias Pawan Pandey said, ‘We have not heard of any slogan of BJP Zindabad being raised anywhere. BJP is no more. Even if we look through a microscope, it is not visible that BJP is a thing. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the great and god-like people of Uttar Pradesh have shattered their reputation. They have defeated them and destroyed their reputation.’

Caste equation of Milkipur and Katehari seat
There are about 65 thousand Brahmins, 55 thousand Pasis, 22 thousand Koris, 15 thousand Harijans, 25 thousand Kshatriyas, 23 thousand Muslims, 20 thousand Chaurasiyas, 17 thousand Baniyas and 55 thousand Yadav voters in Milkipur. Being a reserved seat, candidates of all parties will be from the Dalit community. This time BSP and Chandrashekhar Ravan will also field their candidates. There are more than 18.50 lakh voters in Katehari assembly seat. Among them, 4 lakh are Dalits and 3.70 lakh Muslims. Apart from these, there are 1.78 lakh Kurmi, 1.70 lakh Yadavs, 1.35 lakh Brahmins and 1 lakh Thakur voters. Therefore, the electoral mathematics and equation of Milkipur and Katehari is going to be interesting. Accordingly, the parties have also started preparations.
